The Leawood Chamber of Commerce and the Johnson County Public Policy Council sponsor the Legislative Breakfast Series to enhance the communication and exchange of information between the business community and the Johnson County state legislative delegation.

Legislators will be on hand to discuss issues and offer the most current legislative updates. All meetings will take place at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park, 9300 West 137th Street. Casual attire is requested. Breakfast will be served promptly at 7:30 a.m.

Enterprise Center of Johnson County Workshop

This workshop helps entrepreneurs understand the variety of funding sources that are available for their business and where to find them.

Topics covered include common and preferred stock, rights and preferences, equity hybrids, debt and sources (e.g., SBA loans, leases, hard money lenders, banks), the SBIR program, and more. The workshop also covers the advantages and disadvantages of equity versus debt, which financing options are typically available to early stage businesses, and issues to consider in selecting a financing option.

Cassis Cuts Ribbon at New Location in Town Center Plaza

Leawood Chamber of Commerce staff and Board members joined Patrick Quillec, Kim Weinberger and friends in dedicating Cassis' new location located at 4821 W. 117th Street in Town Center Plaza in Leawood.  Pictured are Tom Robinett, Chamber Board; Kim Weinberger & Patrick Quillec with Cassis; Leawood Mayor Peggy Dunn; Councilman James Azeltine; Tracy Beery, Chamber Board; & Dennis Wolf, Chamber Ambassador.

This beautifully decorated new restaurant is located on the northeast side of Town Center Plaza.  Cassis is a full service French restaurant, and was recently awarded "Best New Restaurant in Kansas City" by a local publication. Cassis is open for lunch & dinner.

Leawood Chamber of Commerce Provides New Map Link Feature On Web Site

 (January 18, 2007, Leawood, Kansas) The Leawood Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a new map link feature for our members’ listings on the Chamber’s website, www.leawoodchamber.org.  This service is offered at no additional charge for the Leawood Chamber members.

The Leawood Chamber provides an online directory of their member businesses, so that consumers browsing the Internet for services can easily find the services Leawood member businesses offer.  The map link feature allows individuals browsing the directory to look at a fully zoomable, pannable map of the member business location that may be viewed in various configurations.  Browsers may also see a satellite view of their destination.  The map may be printed directly from the screen, which saves time for consumers.
