New Addition to leawoodchamber.org Benefits Over 100 Leawood Chamber Members

Due to recent discussions in the Leawood Chamber Economic Development Council meetings, an expansion has been made to the “Shop Leawood” and the “Area Restaurant Guide” buttons on the homepage and sub-pages of leawoodchamber.org.

When you scroll over the “Shop Leawood” or “Area Restaurant Guide” buttons, you will notice a pop-out menu that will appear with a number of sub-categories. These pop-out menus will not only make it easier for website visitors to find what they are looking for more easily and quickly, but it will also drive more business and more recognition to Leawood Chamber members in the retail or restaurant categories.

These recent changes will positively affect nearly 1/4th of all Leawood Chamber’s members.

If your company is not listed in any of the sub-categories, and you believe it should be, please contact Jami Campbell at the Chamber by emailing jamic@leawoodchamber.org.

Marillac’s Enchanted Forest to Partner with All-New Holiday Boutique Shopping Event

Since 1992, Marillac–an Overland Park-based nonprofit providing compassionate mental health care for children–has hosted Marillac’s Enchanted Forest to bring attention to the programs and services they offer. Marillac’s Enchanted Forest is a festive display of trees and wreaths that are decorated and donated by individuals, companies and civic groups from across the Kansas City area. These fantastic creations are then auctioned off in a silent auction with all proceeds going to directly support Marillac’s compassionate mental health care programs for children.

This year, the Enchanted Forest will be moving to the Overland Park Convention Center and partnering with the all-new Holiday Boutique shopping event! The Holiday Boutique will feature unique, high-quality vendors offering the latest styles, trends and items to dress up the holiday season.

The combined event will run November 10-13. There is no cost to see the trees and wreaths, but there will be a small fee to attend Holiday Boutique, with a portion of each ticket sale being donated to Marillac, thereby increasing the amount of funds raised to support Marillac’s children.

Marillac has been serving boys and girls with special emotional and behavioral needs in Kansas City and its surrounding communities for over 114 years. Each year, the dedicated staff at Marillac provides care to the hundreds of area children and families. One hundred percent of Enchanted Fore ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)
