Topics include:
Key Note: Volunteer leadership in the community
Julie Quirin, Saint Luke's South CEO
Engaging volunteer leaders to meet critical needs is vital for any community. In this session you will learn how volunteering in civic and nonprofit organizations not only provides a feeling of self-fulfillment and a mechanism to "give back" but also provides opportunities for leadership development and individual learning. Participants will be challenged to think critically about their own leadership journey and how volunteer leadership may help them achieve their own career goals.
Session Two, Group A: Leading multiple generations at work
Dr. Bob Clark, Vice Chancellor, KU Edwards Campus
How can you expect to lead multiple generations successfully when the values, experiences, styles of communication, motivations and general world outlook vary dramatically? This presentation will explore the unique natures of each generation and describe leadership approaches that can minimize limitations and maximize the benefits of bridging the gaps among those called Traditionals, Baby Boomers, Gen X'ers and Millenials.
Session Two, Group B: Synergies between leadership and entrepreneurship
Wallace Meyer, Director of Entrepreneurship Programs, KU School of Business
Entrepreneurship drives the economy (entrepreneurial small firms employ over half of all private sector employees); entrepreneurship drives creativity and innovation (entrepreneurial firms produce 14 times more patents per employee than large companies); and entrepreneurship drives wealth (the vast majority of the wealthiest US citizens are entrepreneurs or inherited their wealth from entrepreneurial ancestors). Entrepreneurial leadership is a major contributor to this dominating performance. In this seminar you will learn and practice the entrepreneurial leadership skills which will enable you to accelerate your capabilities and lead your organization (business, family, or golf foursome) to greater performance.

Sometimes called degenerative arthritis, osteoarthritis of the knee occurs when the cartilage in the knee deteriorates with use and age. Osteoarthritis typically develops gradually and tends to cause varying degrees of stiffness and pain. It also can lead to swelling and a decreased range of motion in the knee joints.
Almost half of all American adults will develop osteoarthritis ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)
