The Leawood Chamber of Commerce and the Johnson County Public Policy Council sponsor the Legislative Breakfast Series to enhance the communication and exchange of information between the business community and the Johnson County state legislative delegation. Legislators will be on hand to discuss issues and offer the most current legislative updates. All meetings will take place at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park, 9300 West 137th Street. Casual attire is requested. Breakfast will be served promptly at 7:30 a.m.

Pok-Chi Lau, a professor of design at the University of Kansas will be the lecturer. Professor Lau will speak about his experiences leading a study abroad group of KU students to China and the subsequent Spencer Museum of Art exhibition.
Made in China offers a unique window on the world’s manufacturing epicenter, as seen through the eyes – and digital cameras – of 24 multidisciplinary KU students and two Department of Design faculty members. The group made a month-long pilgrimage to China in summer 2006.

The party follows the release of the February issue of 435 South magazine, showcasing 11 of the areas most eligible and successful men.
Your $15 donation at the door will cover the evening’s festivities—mingling with the bachelors, complementary appetizers, entry into a drawing for great giveaways donated by the events’ merchants and a fashion show by trendy south Johnson County boutiques such as Bella B’s Boutique, Will Wyatt’s Cowboy Couture, Ambiance, Karats Jewelers and Style & Grace.
