Creating Devoted Customers to...
Improve Your Bottom Line
By Dr. Dennis Rosen, WinFluence® Solutions
Customer satisfaction is insufficient in today’s market to build your business. Satisfaction simply means customers consider your business an option. Even “loyal” customers are often only loyal until a better deal comes along. You want devoted customers who stick with your business and tell others about you. This requires going beyond simple satisfaction.
In this workshop, Dr. Dennis Rosen will explain HOW to WOW your customers through analysis of physical and emotional needs that affect customers’ perceptions of your service. He will show you how to determine actions that will have the greatest effect on perception of service. He’ll explain how to adapt to customer differences, how to handle customer complaints and how to motivate your employees to provide great service. You’ll understand how to make your customers devoted and improve your bottom line.
Attendees will receive a copy of Dr. Rosen's book (a $25 value), a 30-page workbook, and a free continental breakfast.

The Leawood Stage Company will hold auditions for the summer production of Bye Bye Birdie on Saturday, March 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 6th from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the Oak Room of the Community Center, on the lower level of Leawood City Hall (enter the building through the north doors).
Call-backs will be held Monday evening March 7th by appointment. Leawood Stage Company is pleased to welcome Eric Van Horn back as director of this production. Van Horn last directed Brigadoon for LSC in the summer of 2009. Bye Bye Birdie will be a fun show for the cast as well as audiences. Bye Bye Birdie is a Broadway musical satire of Mid-century Modern America. The story centers around Conrad Birdie, an Elvis Presley type rock & roll singer, who is about to be inducted into the army. Birdie travels to Sweet Apple, Ohio to give a typical teen-age girl from his fan club a good-bye kiss on the Ed Sullivan Show.
We encourage performers with all types of backgrounds, ethnicity and experience from 7 to 77 to audition. Be a part of this fabulous community theater experience ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)
Legislative Report for the Leawood Chamber of Commerce
For week ending February 18, 2011
From Bob Vancrum, Kansas Government Affairs Consultant
This was an active week in committee and on the floor. Next week most House committees will cease after Monday, the Senate after Tuesday and legislators will be on the floor Wednesday through Friday as they rush toward the “turnaround day” ( mid-point of regular session). Some important action and controversy arose this week.
Unemployment and Workers Compensation
SB77, which would have significantly increased unemployment taxes to cover the huge deficit in the Employment Security Fund, has been amended, passed the full Senate and is now in the House Commerce Committee. The bill eliminates the waiting week for about a $10 million per year benefit but the tax base will still rise for employer contributions from $8,000 to $11,000 over the next three years. The long anticipated workers’ compensation substitute for HB2134 was finally sent to the House floor where it was called up for action Wednesday morning .The net result was a mixed bag of increases in benefits for disabilities and pro-employer changes covering pre-existing conditions, drug testing and injuries that resulted from knowingly violating work place safety rules. Having said that, the original compromise has now been dissolved and labor is no longer happy with the bill.& ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)
Known for its community-based patient care for 80 years, Menorah Medical Center—part of HCA Midwest Health System—plans to open a new urgent care facility. This center—with the strength of Menorah Medical Center’s powerful and advanced resources behind it—will open late February, providing Johnson County residents with an alternative to the ER or when their regular physician is unavailable. Menorah Urgent Care will serve community residents with quality and immediate walk-in medical care for non-threatening illnesses and injuries.
Located in the heart of southern Johnson County just west of 69 Highway and 151st Street, Menorah Urgent Care is just what the doctor ordered for people with busy lifestyles eager for
on-demand urgent care. Scheduled to be open seven days a week—including holidays, evenings and weekends—with real-life hours, Menorah Urgent Care will not require an appointment and will accept all major insurance plans.
“Menorah Medical Center is proud to offer Johnson County residents another option in their healthcare,” says Chief Executive Officer Steven D. Wilkinson. “Our focus has been to provide excellent patient care with traditional values in an accessible neighborhood setting with a compassionate and caring staff for 80 years. Now we’re offering a dedicated state-of-the-art facility where ‘convenience’ and ‘urgent care’ converg ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)
Menorah Medical Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center that is patient and family focused, is raising the community’s standard of care when it comes to diagnosing and treating heart disease. The hospital, part of HCA Midwest Health System—the largest provider of heart care in the Kansas City area—is adding a $1.9 million advanced, all-digital 3D cath lab that allows cardiologists to give patients a quicker diagnosis with less exposure and better visualization of the intricate heart vessels, reducing the need for additional procedure time. It will also allow for specialized cardiologists to perform procedures that can eliminate irregularities of the heart with the most advanced procedures available.
A typical catheterization procedure is when a catheter is threaded through a blood vessel in the arm or groin and into the heart. The interventional cardiologist performing the procedure can inject contrast into the arteries or the heart’s chamber to trace blood flow to the heart, measure pressures, and take blood samples. As the physician watches the contrast moving through the blood vessel and chambers, he can see whether the coronary arteries are narrowed or blocked from plaque build-up on the vessels’ lining and decide on the best option for treatment, if needed.
The three-dimensional navigation system used in the new cath lab will also allow for physicians to quickly visualize and treat nearly ever ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)
