2008 State of the County Address

The Johnson County Public Policy Council and the Chairman of the Board of Johnson County Commissioners, Annabeth Surbaugh, cordially invite you to attend the 2008 State of the County Address and Luncheon.

The cost is $30 / person, or $300 for a table of 8. Advanced reservations and payment are required. The reservation deadline for this event is by 5pm on Monday, March 31st. Refunds will not be made on cancellations received after registration deadline.

Check-in on April 8th will begin at 11:30 am, followed by lunch at noon and Chairman Surbaugh's Address at 12:30 pm.

Johnson County - The Next 25 Years

Portions of Johnson County that today are among the most sought-after residential, office and retail sites in the region were farm fields 25 years ago.   CONGRESSMAN DENNIS MOORE TO HOST PROCUREMENT CONFERENCE

  Congressman Dennis Moore (Third District – Kansas) will host a Government Procurement Conference on Wednesday, March 26th, 2008, at Johnson County Community College from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm.  The one-day event will offer businesspeople an affordable way to learn more about marketing their products and services to local, state and federal governments. 

  The conference will feature the Honorable Kathleen Sebelius, Governor of Kansas, as keynote speaker, and luncheon speaker Col. Tim Weatherbee, Fort Leavenworth.  Additionally, exhibitors will be on hand to provide face-to-face contacts with government agencies and breakout sessions will provide detailed information on how to compete for all types of government contracts.
