With 4 billion wireless subscribers worldwide, understanding what mobile technologies and mobile media can (and cannot) do has never been more valuable—even if your target market is a bit smaller than that.

This workshop will explore the past, present, and future realities that mobile devices and services bring to businesses, associations, and governments. Specifically, we will look at cases regarding healthcare, retail, and advertising, along with technologies like 2D code scanning, short codes, and location-based services.

You will also get a chance to see how mobile can “bridge the gap” between traditional and interactive advertising, and what it takes to pull all the pieces together.

By the end of this session, you will have an essential framework for considering how these technologies could impact your organization.

Consign, Volunteer, Shop at Kid’s Closet Connection April 1-3 at the Overland Park Convention Center

Kid’s Closet Connection is having their tenth semi-annual sale bringing area moms together to sell their children's gently used clothing and related items at terrific prices.

The sale will be open to the public April 1, 2009 to April 3, 2009 at the Overland Park Convention Center (OPCC). There is no charge for admission.

Consigners make profits from the items they sell, and don’t have to work at the sale. Tagged items can be dropped off at the OPCC on Monday, March 30 from 9am to 8pm and Tuesday, March 31 from 9am to 1pm. Consigners and volunteers get to shop before the sale opens to the public.

For more information, visit http://www.kidscloset.biz/ or call (913) 488-1961.

“It is so important in today's society that we learn to recycle our resources including our outgrown children's items that are otherwise in great condition.” said Sharon Smitka, owner of Kid’s Closet Connection. “These sales have given our community a way to help the environment by making money while selling your children's outgrown items and in turn, purchase nearly new items in great condition at prices drastically less than retail.”

Kid's Closet makes a large donation of clothing and other items to Angel Babies after the sale. This charity benefits unwed teenage mothers.
