The Leawood Chamber of Commerce and the Johnson County Public Policy Council sponsor the Legislative Breakfast Series to enhance the communication and exchange of information between the business community and the Johnson County state legislative delegation. Legislators will be on hand to discuss issues and offer the most current legislative updates. All meetings will take place at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park, 9300 West 137th Street. Casual attire is requested. Breakfast will be served promptly at 7:30 a.m.

LEAWOOD, Kan. (April 12, 2007) – Bukaty Companies Retirement Plan Services, a division of Bukaty
Companies, announced today the merger of The Retirement Plan Consulting Group, a retirement plan
consulting firm based in Overland Park, Kansas.
The acquisition, which was finalized March 30, will increase Bukaty Companies Retirement Plan Services
current block of business by 20 percent and increase current assets substantially. Financial terms of the
acquisition were not disclosed.
“The merger makes perfect sense for both firms,” said Vincent Morris, vice president of Bukaty Companies
Retirement Plan Services. “Combining firms will allow us to service more complex, multi-plan, multi-site
clients.”
The Retirement Plan Consulting Group was founded by John Franklin in 2002. Franklin will now serve as
a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant with the combined firm. He has more than 20 years of experience in
the retirement planning industry with a variety of retirement plan clientele ranging from law firms to

Kansas City, MO – April 2007 – The Kansas City Chapter of NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, is sponsoring the 10th Annual Remodeled Homes Tour on Saturday and Sunday, April 21st and 22nd.
Schloegel Design Remodel’s entry in the tour is an impressive whole home remodel located at 12710 Cherokee Lane in Leawood, KS. The Schloegel team will host a pre-tour coffee for guests and clients to get a sneak preview on Saturday, April 21st from 9:00 to10:00 a.m.
From kitchens and outdoor living spaces to baths and lower level finishes, this tour of 32 area remodeled homes is the place to go for remodeling ideas and the only place to meet professional NARI contractors.
