Featured Chamber Benefit of the Month – You have a Competitive Edge in the Marketplace

One of the most popular sayings around the Chamber is, "You will get out of it, as much as you put into it." This proves to be the case time and time again. To help our members make the most of their investment, each month we remind you of one of the benefits of your Chamber membership.

In 2007, a study conducted by The Shapiro Group was commissioned by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives with support from Small Business Network, Inc. helped determine the real value of joining and being active in the Chamber of Commerce.  Data for the study was collected from a scientific web-based survey of 2,000 adults nationwide.

Being a Leawood Chamber member gives you a competitive edge with current and prospective customers.  Here’s why.

When consumers know a small business is a Chamber member, they are:

While we all know that a lot has changed in the last five years, people still like to do business with people who are connected to their community. For the past 32 years, SAFEHOME has changed, and even saved, the lives of victims of domestic violence and their children in the Kansas City community.

SAFEHOME’s services include emergency shelter, professional counseling, transitional housing, legal assistance, hospital advocacy, and school-based education and prevention. SAFEHOME’s consistent application of best practices recently resulted in the agency’s receiving a pinnacle Four Star Award from Charity Navigator. “SAFEHOME is proud to be recognized with the 2012 Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership award.
