Professional Women's Golf Comes to Leawood!

Cost: Single day tickets to watch championship play are $10. A specially priced advanced ticket package is available featuring 4 single day tickets for $20. Children 12 and under are free.

You won't want to miss this great opportunity to see 140 up-and-coming LPGA golfers as they compete for the right to play in the LPGA Tour next year in the Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Golf Championship.

Championship play for this National Kidney Foundation event is scheduled for May 18-20th at Leawood South Country Club.

The Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Championship presented by Zurich is part of the Duramed FUTURES Tour, the official developmental tour of the LPGA.

'A Taste of Leawood,' one of the area's premier events, is now entering its tenth year! Enjoy a casual evening of music, spirits and culinary splendor from the area's finest establishments under the stars in the Leawood City Hall Courtyard.

The sounds of the Dan Doran Band will fill the air as patrons enjoy wines, spirits and tantalizing selections from the following: 40 Sardines, Atlanta Bread Company, Bonefish Grill, BRAVO! The Leawood Foundation, the Historic Commission and the Art in Public Places Initiative of the Leawood Arts Council will dedicate "Praire Lessons" a life-sized bronze sculpture to honor educators.

Meet internationally acclaimed artist Dennis Smith. Festivities will follow at the Historic Oxford Schoolhouse.

The Greensburg, Kansas, We All Care Fund

The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation set up a fund called The Greensburg, Kansas, We All Care Fund to help the residents of Greensburg, who have suffered great loss in their community. All money donated will be distributed to agencies in Greensburg that are helping with tornado relief efforts.

Party in the Park to benefit AIDS Orphans

Raising Future Leaders is a local grassroots project aimed at providing relief to children in Africa who have lost their parents to AIDS.

Rasing Future Leaders will be throwing a party in Leawood City Park to celebrate the last day of school with bouncers, sno-cones, cotton candy, games, etc.

100% of the proceeds will benefit our project in Zimbabwe.
