11th Annual 'A Taste of Leawood' Event

'A Taste of Leawood,' one of the area's premier events, is now entering its eleventh year! Enjoy a casual evening of music, spirits and culinary splendor from the area's finest establishments under the stars in the Leawood City Hall Courtyard.

The Leawood Chamber is pleased to announce that a new band, Souled Out, will be performing at this year's event. Patrons will enjoy tantalizing cuisine from new area restaurants along with area favorites, all at one location!

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to make new connections and friends within our community, while enjoying Leawood's finest! Make sure you invite your friends, neighbors, business associates & colleagues as well!

A few reserved tables are still available , so don't exclude your business from this social event of the season.

Morning Mingling

Dr. TeresaThonus, Director, KU Writing Center, will exemplify ambiguous e-mails, memos, and letters and offer strategies for clarifying meaning without sacrificing brevity. The Bank of Blue Valley is providing coffee & pastries at each event beginning at 7:45 a.m.

SAFEHOME's 16th Annual June Jubilee will be held on Sunday, June 1st at the Overland Park Doubletree Hotel.

The event will feature a gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment. Proceeds from Jubilee will provide safe shelter and support services for victims of domestic violence.

Summer Cooking Camp

Free Music Mondays Concert Series presented by Town Center Plaza!

Town Center Plaza will host the return of the popular FREE MUSIC MONDAYS Concert Series this July with four Monday evening outdoor concerts. The concerts are presented by Menorah Medical Center and feature FREE live musical entertainment and the Kid’s Fun Zone area with children’s entertainment each Monday in July from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Concerts are located in the east drive near Restoration Hardware and Bravo.

In addition to great live music, parents and children alike will enjoy the family friendly atmosphere and numerous activities for children. New to Free Music Mondays is a special commemorative project in conjunction with the Britto Tours America sculpture tour, presented by HarenLaughlin Construction. Renowned artist Romero Britto plans to paint a ceramic tile art piece that will become the centerpiece of a tile wall created for Children’s Mercy South.
