Congratulations, you are thinking about starting a high growth new business venture. But do you know which entity is best for you? S Corporation or C Corporation or LLC? Which entity is preferred by angel investors? Venture investors? KTEC? Should you organize in Missouri, or Kansas, or Delaware?
The focus of the workshop is the practical choices entrepreneurs must make, not on the arcane or theoretical issues. This workshop will give you a solid understanding of the various entity choices available to you and which entities make the most sense for you and your investors. The workshop will be presented by Steve Mock, a tax accountant with BKD, and Mitch Woolery, an attorney with Kutak Rock. Steve Mock, a partner of BKD, LLP, has more than 30 years of experience specializing in the areas of tax and business planning. Steve currently focuses on the areas of tax planning, merger and acquisition and business succession planning and implementat ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)
