11th Annual 'A Taste of Leawood' Event

'A Taste of Leawood,' one of the area's premier events, is now entering its eleventh year! Enjoy a casual evening of music, spirits and culinary splendor from the area's finest establishments under the stars in the Leawood City Hall Courtyard.
The Leawood Chamber is pleased to announce that a new band, Souled Out, will be performing at this year's event. Patrons will enjoy tantalizing cuisine from new area restaurants along with area favorites, all at one location!
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to make new connections and friends within our community, while enjoying Leawood's finest! Make sure you invite your friends, neighbors, business associates & colleagues as well!
A few reserved tables are still available, so don't exclude your business from this social event of the season.

You will face many ethical situations in your career. How you handle them will determine how far you advance in your career. Dr. Thomas Mulinazzi, Chair/Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, School of Engineering, is currently a member of the Kansas State Board of Technical Professions and will provide insight to help you better understand ways to handle these situations. The Bank of Blue Valley is providing coffee & pastries at each event beginning at 7:45 a.m.

Town Art Show

More than 130 artisans from throughout the country will participate in the 10th annual "Town Art Show" at Town Center Plaza. This year's show is once again designed as a strolling art show where customers may start at one location and walk the entire circular layout.
Mediums represented at the show include water color and oil canvas works, glassware, tile creations, metal works, ceramics, jewelry, photography, fabric décor and wearable art. Amenities such as food vendors, live music and activities for children will be available throughout the entire show.
Thanks in part to the funds raised from the Town Art Show, the Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland is able to offer programs such as a wellness center, exercise groups, speech classes, medication assistance and much more.
This event will be held rain or shine Friday, June 13 from 4 - 8 pm, Saturday 10 am - 8 pm, and Sunday 10 am - 5pm.

Leawood Chamber Welcomes New Staff Members!
The Chamber is pleased to announce the addition of two additional staff members!
In April, Pamela Noyce joined our staff as Office Administrator. She lends a hand to all aspects of the Chamber's daily functions and keeps our office running smoothly! In fact, if you have any questions regarding billing, Pamela is the person to call!
How were we lucky enough to find Pamela? Thanks to a Chamber connection, of course! Many thanks to Sheila Staszkiewicz from Dr. Robert Nelson's office for referring Pamela to us.
Angela Davidson, our new Communications and Retention Manager, joined us in May and also has Chamber ties. Angela was an active member of the Leawood Chamber in the past when she was a representative for Davidson Promotional Products. Recently she returned to the area after spending two years in Iowa. Angela is thrilled to be back home and is excited to be working with the Chamber! She will have a wide range of duties including working on Chamber communications.
