Avenues Bistro heads to Joplin on Monday, May 30, to Help with Relief Efforts

Avenues Chef Mario Galan said, "I want to help those in Joplin!"  Working with our ownership, a unique approach is the result.  This coming Monday morning, our team of chefs will prepare a trucks' worth of cuisine that Mario will hand deliver himself; on his day off.

Mario said, "We are a restaurant and known for great food.  We also know that relief workers need something with more sustenance than canned anything.  So, we are going to deliver a quality meal for aid workers assisting with the effort."  Mario continued, "It just feels right."

Starting today, and going through Sunday, a separated gratuity of 'Joplin' intention by way of cash or credit slip notation will go directly to the food cost.  Because we are a restaurant, dollars donated will go far in filling the truck.  An increased volume of attendance over the next three days by our fans will invariably help fill Mario's truck with quality food staples.

Avenues Bistro believes this direct 'from our hands to their mouths' approach, maximizes our ability to ensure each dollar goes straight to the intended beneficiary.  In supporting Mario's selfless desire to help, Avenues Bistro ownership will match the totality of donations.  It's easy to support.  Just dine with us today, tomorrow, Sunday, and consider parting with a few ancillary dollars.
