The drain opens up a new world for our duo as they discover what our watershed is, its connection to the ecosystem and how we can make a difference.
The rat is upset when thoughtless humans decide to use his storm sewer drain as a trash can. Not only that, but he is put in danger when an oil barrel lands on his head trapping him inside as it floats out to sea. Can Felicia and Karma save him in time? Find out want happens as they travel from stream to river and beyond.

The Leawood Arts Council and M&I Bank will host a unique community event to celebrate local artists. The two organizations have joined together for the fourteenth year of this collaboration. This show will feature the works of artists, Ric Cummings, Barbara Neth, Roy Raymer, and Dierk Van Keppel.
Photographer Ric Cummings primarily works in black and white concentrating on landscapes and cityscapes. Tones, shapes and textures are enhanced in black and white. His images are photographed in both film and digitally from locations around the world. The final results are Giclee prints on cotton rag paper, using up to seven density carbon black ink to achieve the maximum in tonal control and longevity.
Ric’s passion for photographic art developed while in college at Purdue University and when he was stationed in Northern Italy with the Army. As a volunteer in the photography department at the Nelson Atkins Museum and study at JCCC, Cummings refocused his perspectives. Leaving a career in sales and management, in 1996 he opened Black & White Specialties in Lenexa.
Watercolor allows Barbara Neth to experience surprise and excitement with every painting. ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)

"Socks in September"
The concept began in 2006. Shawna Davidson, owner of Davidson Promotional Products became aware of a common need among our homeless, new socks. While many efforts have been made to contribute needed items to those affected by homelessness, socks are rarely given. That’s when Shawna created a service project called “Socks in September”.
Over the course of the last three years more than 15,000 pairs of new socks have been collected! With such a wonderful response, Davidson Promotional Products has been able to distribute socks to 7 area organizations in desperate need of one of our most basic necessities. What a generous community we live in!
Please join us this year in reaching our goal of 10,000 pairs of new socks. One small purchase can make such a great impact!
To learn more about “Socks in September” and ways your company or organization can get involved contact: Davidson Promotional Products @ 913-947-7000
