The Kansas City Business Journal featured Leawood Chamber member, Madeira Therapeutics, in a recent article. Madeira's recent launch and their specialization in pediatric pharmaceuticals was the focus of the story.
Madeira is repositioning approved adult compounds for the pediatric market. Currently, more than 70% of childrens medicine is not approved by the FDA and children are normally given adult medication based on their weight. The problem is children metabolize some drugs differently than adults. Madeira's work will be an exciting development in pediatric medicine.
Congratulations, Madeira Therapeutics!
