Join Leawood Chamber members and guests for breakfast, a great time networking and education. Ken Dworak, Project Manager of the Performing Arts Center will present an overview of the project from the inception to the logistics of the new Center. He will also give us an update on the status of this project that is part of the revitilization of downtown Kansas City. The new Center will be at 16th and Broadway and will house the Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Ballet, and the Lyric Opera.
This month we will also introduce our newest Chamber members in our quarterly "Chamber Debut". Each attendee will receive a business card and a desciption from each business that has joined the Leawood Chamber in the past 90 days. You'll have a chance to associate each new member business with the person(s) representing that business.

SAFEHOME, Johnson County’s only provider of services for victims of domestic violence, will hold its 13th Annual SAFEHOME golf tournament on August 22nd at Loch Lloyd. The tournament registration begins at 8am and the shotgun start is at 9am.

The tournament is a 4-person scramble and includes golf, cart, lunch, gifts, snacks, fabulous door prizes and a hole-in-one contest for cars! Other activities include event cards and a chance to win a signed KU men’s basketball and women’s basketball or a golf package.

Children's Mercy and Kohl's department stores invite parents and their school-age children to a Back-to-School Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22 at the Overland Park Convention Center.
The event will feature fun activities for the kids, as well as great information, interactive displays, and ask-the-expert presentations to help parents and children prepare for the new school year. Plus, families can enter a drawing to receive gift cards and a back-to-school shopping spree at Kohl's.
