Last year over 1,000 people from 20 area Chambers participated in the Office Depot Chamber Day at the Kansas Speedway!

On Friday, September 28th, the Kansas Speedway will once again host a metro-wide event before the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Qualifying & Practice Day activities.

The Chamber Day Package includes:

Public Invited to Provide Input on Kansas' Comprehensive Transportation Plan

Preview the direction of the draft Kansas Long Range Transportation Plan and take part in a futures discussion featuring Kansas Department of Transportation Secretary Deb Miller on Wednesday, August 8 at the Overland Park Chamber office.  

The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is an evaluation of the current status and future needs of all modes of the Kansas transportation system, including state highways and the local road network, transit, rail, trucking, aviation, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

The LRTP is not a new program, however it will lay the foundation for a new transportation program by analyzing demographic and economic trends for the state along with existing and future transportation needs.  The LRTP will also evaluate how transportation is currently funded in Kansas, and explore funding strategies that are being used around the country.  The LRTP is a policy document and will be focused on transportation needs rather than on specific projects.

Internal Marketing Associate – Part-time/Full-time
Purpose: To cultivate and serve our existing patient base though the use of various communications systems – primarily email and telephone.

Hours: Flexible afternoon and evening hours –30-35 hours per week
