Ken Dworak, Project Manager of the Performing Arts Center will present an overview of the project from the inception to the logistics of the new Center. He will also give us an update on the status of this project that is part of the revitilization of downtown Kansas City. The new Center will be at 16th and Broadway and will house the Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Ballet, and the Lyric Opera.

This month we will also introduce our newest Chamber members in our quarterly "Chamber Debut". Each attendee will receive a business card and a desciption from each business that has joined the Leawood Chamber in the past 90 days. You'll have a chance to associate each new member business with the person(s) representing that business.

Chamber Education Program - Team Building

Cost: There is no cost to attend this event; however, reservations are required.

This presentation led by Professor Tom Bowlin will cover the significance of team building, key methods in achieving high-performance teams, trends in team building, and practical approaches to improving an organization through team building. Come learn how to motivate your team to work better together!

Presentation is 45 minutes, followed by a 15 minute Q&A session.

Pastries and refreshments will be provided by Bank of Blue Valley.

Quarterly Member Orientation

Leawood Chamber Member Recognized

The Kansas City Business Journal and its partners - the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the UMKC Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration, Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City and M&I Bank - will recognize 25 outstanding women in the Kansas City area for their career accomplishments and contributions to the success of other women in our community on July 27th.

Honorees will be recognized at an awards luncheon on July 27 and featured in a special supplement in the Kansas City Business Journal to be published July 28.
