As the ups and downs of the U.S. economy continue, it is hard to know what we can expect for the future of our country. Our guest speaker at this month's meeting, George Kahn, Vice President and Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, will be giving us an economic update.

At the Federal Reserve Bank, Kahn serves as an advisor to the Bank's president and board of directors on monetary policy issues and conducts basic and applied research on issues of relevance to the Federal Reserve System. He joined the Bank as an economist in 1982.

Mr. Kahn received a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. degree in economics from Northwestern University. He taught economics at the University of British Columbia and has published articles on inflation and unemployment, potential economic growth and monetary policy.

In addition to an insightful program, our newest Chamber members will be presented in our quarterly "Chamber Debut". Attendees will receive a description from each business that has joined the Leawood Chamber in the past 90 days.

News & Announcements

Get informed, get involved. Get out and VOTE on August 3!

We are fortunate to live in a country where citizens have the opportunity to elect individuals to represent their interests in government.  However, did you know that often less than 10% of registered voters vote in Primary elections?  That means some races could be decided by less than 6% of all registered voters.

This year, make a decision to make a difference!

These include aggressive use of medications like tPA, antithrombotics, anticoagulation therapy, DVT prophylaxis, cholesterol reducing drugs, and smoking cessation.
