More on Dr. Trigg: The 2011-12 school year marks Dr. Tom Trigg’s eighth year as superintendent of the Blue Valley School District. Dr. Trigg started his career with Blue Valley Schools in 1996 as assistant superintendent of Administrative Services. In 2001, he became deputy superintendent of Administrative Services for Blue Valley and served in that capacity until he was selected as the district's superintendent in 2004.
Dr. Trigg has been recognized on numerous occasions for excellence in education. Most recently, Dr. Trigg was named the 2011 Kansas Superintendent of the Year by the Kansas Association of School Administrators. He was also one of four finalists for the National Superintendent of the Year.
More on Dr. Johnson: Dr. Gene Johnson has served as an administrator in the Shawnee Mission School District for the past 22 years. Dr. Johnson received his B.A. degree in physical education from Yankton College, South Dakota; his M.S. degree in school administration from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas; and his Ed.D. degree in educational policy and administration from the University of Kansas. Dr. Johnson’s experiences include extensive work in effective instruction, system planning, and staff supervision. He is a certified curriculum management lead auditor through the Curriculum Management Systems, Inc. and has conducted audits in school districts in thirteen states.
Chamber Members: As an added benefit, members will receive via email a spreadsheet with contact information of all the other member attendees at the event. This is another way we're working to make sure the Leawood Chamber is a great networking resource for Chamber members.

Doug Johnson's paintings reflect a close attention to the craftsmanship, design and composition for which he is acclaimed. When viewed from a distance, they appear photo-realistic; however, upon close inspection interesting details begin to emerge. There are complex areas of juxtaposed fragments, with sharp, clearly defined recurring shapes - arcs, horns, crescents, chevrons, and compressed or elongated polygons - which translate as stylized geometric pointillism.

Whether at work or at home, the problem of getting needed files from one computer to another is a daily challenge. Wouldn't it be great if all the documents were stored in a centralized, but secure, location so we wouldn't need to email files back and forth or copy them to USB sticks?
The answer to this problem in larger companies is a server. However, there is now an affordable solution for small businesses and homes: a Network Attached Storage unit or NAS. A NAS is a centralized storage appliance. It doesn't do everything a server does, it's sole purpose is to put all of your documents, pictures, music, etc. into one central place, accessible from any computer as needed. On each of your computers it adds an X or Y drive for easy access. One that we have enjoyed installing at a number of homes and small businesses lately is the Verbatim 1TB NAS which costs $80-$90.
That's right < $90! In 1 to 2 hours time we have the NAS installed, all of your computers connected to it and all of the files from your computers copying to it. I have always wanted to use this line: "but wait, there's more..." The Verbatim NAS has a USB port on the front - plug into this port and push the button what ever is connected is automatically copied to a new folder on the NAS and immediately available from all of your computers (think: connecting a camera or cell phone to transfer photos. Plug it in, push the button, done!).
Plus it has an eSATA port on the back - pl ... (go to www.leawoodchamber.org for more information)
