Leawood Chamber members, their guests, and 'future' Chamber members are invited to join us for some great Leawood Chamber networking at Roth Distributing Center.

Bella B's Boutique Ribbon Cutting

This presentation by Rob Estell, LCSW, LSCSW, will define diversity in the broadest of terms (by looking at dimensions of diversity) including race, gender, ethnicity, age, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, values, education, physical appearance, lifestyle, beliefs, geographic origin, longevity with the organization and economic status. Attendees will better understand the benefits of diversity and diverse work environments.

B2B Cookie Winner

Our B2B cookie winner for August is Michael Klein from the Leawood Lions Club!  By attending the Leawood Chamber's August 14th General Membership Meeting and submitting his business card, Michael was automatically entered into a drawing for a dozen Blue Chip Cookies, compliments of Blue Chip Cookies in Town Center Plaza.

Kelsey Smith Foundation Inc.

Organized by the late Kelsey Smith's family and friends, the 1st Annual Kelsey Smith Foundation Charity Golf Classic will take place on Monday, October 8, 2007 at Falcon Ridge Golf Course in Lenexa, Ks.

The Kelsey Smith Foundation, Inc. was established on July 7, 2007 by Greg and Missey Smith as a way to continue the passion of Kelsey's life by helping others. Kelsey Smith was only eighteen years old and had graduated from high school just nine days before being abducted, in broad daylight, on June 2, 2007, from a department store parking lot. 

All proceeds from this event will go towards The Kelsey Smith Foundation Inc. in an effort to fund such programs as Kelsey's Army - a program to teach high school students and communities on how to get the word out should one of their peers go missing. The High Cost of Clutter

Clutter.  It can be found everywhere in our lives.  From our homes, to the office, and the car, tolerating clutter is a way of life for many Americans.  But, did you know how costly clutter can be to you?  Although it is something we generally don't think of, clutter can have a significant impact on our daily performance, as well as our pocketbooks.  How much do you make per hour at your job?  More importantly, in terms of your hourly rate,  how much money do you spend at your job dealing with clutter?

When most people think about their clutter, their first reaction is stress.  Clutter splits our attention.  It calls to us to deal with it, when we really should be thinking about the presentation we are preparing or the sales calls we need to make.  It also makes for a good distraction when we are working on something we really don't want to be doing.  It's mere presence costs us time (and money) by pulling us away from meaningful projects that can move our businesses forward in a more timely fashion.  This doesn't even take into account how much time and money we waste when we have to look for things we can't find or have ... Charity Golf Classic

Continental Title Company will hold its 2nd Annual Golf Classic Wednesday, October 10th with an 8 am shot gun start at Deer Creek Golf Club.

This was a sold out tournament last year with proceeds benefiting Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. Cost includes green fees, cart fees, lunch, breakfast, 2 drink tickets and FUN!!!
