Residents in hot pursuit of their sugar fix will encounter a bizarre police stakeout at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Shops from September 7-9, 2007.
Local law enforcement officers will take to the rooftops for Cops on Doughnut Shops, the annual fundraiser for Special Olympics Kansas. Krispy Kreme stores at 8805 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Merriam and 10390 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park will be offering this unique sugar high. So stop by, grab a hot doughnut and make a donation to a great cause.
The morning is the best time to grab your doughnuts as officers will be at Krispy Kreme on Friday, September 7 from 6 a.m. -10 a.m. and both Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th from 7 a.m. -2 p.m. Police officers will collect donations from customers and the general public as they hang out at local Krispy Kreme stores.
Looking to the community to come out and support their efforts, participating law enforcement officers encourage patrons of Krispy Kreme and citizens to help further opportunities for Special Olympics athletes. For more informaion on Special Olympics Kansas, visit www.ksso.org.
