Celebrate 4th of July with Leawood!

07/03/2006 – Come to Leawood City Park for food, fun and fireworks!



The City of Leawood and Mix 93.3 FM are proud to present Leawood's annual 4th of July Celebration, sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods and Coca-Cola. Leawood City Park (10601 Lee Blvd) will be the site for food, fun and fireworks on Tuesday, July 4 from 5:00 – 10:00 pm. Join the entire community in remembering what a great nation we live in and help celebrate our Independence Day!

The Aquatic Center will be open from 11:00am – 5:00pm. Kid's activities and food vendors will take place from 5:00–9:30 p.m. Fireworks will be at 9:45 p.m.

Admission is Free. $5.00 activity band for children 14 and under.

Activities include face painters, stilt walkers, live entertainment from Professor Farquar and Curlie Dimple, music from The Longboards and Hot House, numerous food vendors and a watermelon contests for all ages.

There will be free parking along Tomahawk Creek Parkway and shuttle buses will be available for transportation to City Park at no cost.
