02/01/2010 – The Johnson County Board of Commissioners seeks volunteers to assist with projects.
The Office of the Board of County Commissioners offers opportunities for citizens to make connections within the County that foster public service, value, and leadership. This exciting and dynamic organization truly values its volunteers!
Time Commitment:
Minimum: 10+ hours a week
Duration: Through completion of project
Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Scan backlog of agendas and agenda packets; index; and post through LIMS (Legislative Information Management System) going back to 1980.
Scan backlog of resolutions; index and post through LIMS going back to 1980. Includes indexing and posting all resolutions to Official Records Index
Regularly review, test, and identify broken or ineffective links through LIMS
Solicit missing records/documents from various sources and incorporate through LIMS
Assists and/or participates in the development and implementation the goals and objectives for the department; provides guidance to other staff regarding assigned duties and functions; works independently and as part of a team, demonstrating the ability to organize work based on priorities; and maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Operate in an environment characterized by involvement in broad Countywide issues and interaction with elected officials, representatives of industry, professional groups on complex and sensitive matters.
Must dress in a professional manner.
