The Mid-America Regional Council has been proactive in this process by creating Transportation Outlook 2040, a regional transportation plan. This long-range vision looks ahead 30 years, and will serve as a guide in transportation decision-making and funding.
The framework for the plan includes common themes brought up in meetings with citizens, community leaders and transportation committees. MARC wants more community input regarding the plan and its implementation. Citizens have been invited to dicussion meetings, and can post blogs and take the online survey on the Transportation Outlook 2040 web site to provide their input.
