Several New Members Joined SAFEHOME’s Board of Directors

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – SAFEHOME announced new board members Shannon K. Barks of Lathrop & Gage, L.C., Michael J. Searcy of Searcy Financial Services, Inc., Cheryl Smith of Kansas City Home Care, Inc., Barbara Patterson, Community Volunteer and Jim Vaughn of Suture Express. 

Elected for their dedication to SAFEHOME, their individual experience, and collective expertise, these new members will serve in an advisory role for the agency, which is Johnson County's only provider of services for victims of domestic violence. 

For the past 26 years, SAFEHOME has provided services to the Johnson County community and the metro area.  Services include a 40-bed shelter, 24-hour crisis hotlines, job and housing assistance, life skills advocacy, legal services, healthcare advocacy, and a children's center.
