Summary: Heartland Habitat for Humanity builds simple, decent homes for those in need.
Heartland Habitat for Humanity serves Johnson, Wyandotte, and Leavenworth counties in Kansas and Platte and Clay counties in Missouri.
Habitat for Humanity's Mission:
* To eliminate poverty and substandard housing worldwide
* To build or renovate houses in partnership with families who qualify for homeownership based on three criteria: need, a willingness to partner with HFH and an ability to repay a no-interest mortgage
* To work with people of all faiths and people of no faith
* To sell our houses at no profit, with no interest charged
Habitat invites you to help them build, assist in the office, serve on committees and help with special projects that benefit the organization. Time commitments vary; some dedicate every day of the week. Others spend just a few hours each year. As a volunteer for Heartland Habitat for Humanity, you choose. All positions are a tremendous help that result, directly or indirectly, in the construction of simple, decent homes.
